Product Description
Aluminium slug is a thick circle of aluminium sheet stamped out of aluminium coil or sheets. Usually the aluminium slugs are made by aluminium 1050, 1070 or 3003, 6061,etc. The 1 series aluminium alloy is as pure as 99.7+ percent of aluminium content with very low level of Fe. The aluminium slugs is stamped on high speed precision press with required gauges according to end product design. The aluminium slugs are silver shining after stamping with a slim film of stamping oil, we heat it to 450~600℃ according to different hardness design to softer the alloy. It is important to control the aluminium slugs in a required range of hardness and perform better in customer's extrusion process. In order to reduce the extrusion friction force and get smooth extrusion metal flow, the aluminium slugs are tumbled and get surface with proper roughness to bear lubrication powder before extrusion. After automatic inspection and manual inspection online, the aluminium slugs are finally packed in carton ready for delivery.
